PURPOSE:To obtain an image recorder which can form a good image and can be made smaller in size and lower in cost. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric element 4 vibrates ink 1 in an ink tank 2 having a slit 11 to make the ink in a mist form. A charging electrode 5 electrifies the ink 1 turned to a mist form by the piezoelectric element 4. A non-uniform alternating electric field generation electrode 8 generates a non-uniform alternating electric field for carrying the mist ink charged by the charging electrode 5 toward the slit 11. A shutter electrode 12 and a bias roller 16 generate an electrostatic field for jetting out the mist ink, which has been carried toward the slit 11 by the non-uniform alternating electric field generation electrode 8, through the slit 11 outside the ink tank 2 in accordance with image signals. |
