A toner image fixing apparatus (39) for an image forming machine (11) such as a copying machine is disclosed. In the toner image fixing apparatus (39), a toner image transferred on a paper (28) is heated at a predetermined fixing temperature so as to fix it thereon. The fixing temperature is set to be larger than or equal to the melting temperature plus 10 [ DEG C], and smaller than or equal to the melting temperature plus 20 [ DEG C] in order to prevent rumples from forming on the paper.
