<p>PURPOSE:To provide automated storage facilities and a retrieval system where a plural number of the works are carried in a work storage part at the time of carrying-in but only a required number of works are carried out of the work storage part at the time of carrying-out. CONSTITUTION:A fork 10 free to move in the advance and retreat direction in a work storage part 4 and with a plural number of work reception parts 10a aligned along the advance and retreat direction and a work reception member drive means to advance and retreat this fork 10 are provided. This work reception member drive means simultaneously carries in a plural number of works by advancing the fork 10 supporting the same kind of works on the work reception parts 10a respectively toward the work storage part 4 at the time of carrying-in but carries out only a required number of works by controlling a moving distance in the advance direction of the fork 10 in accordance with the number of works existing in the work storage part 4 and the quantity of order for carrying-out and by retreating the fork 10 supporting works on the work reception part 10a of a part.</p> |
