PURPOSE:To record stably at high speed in an ink jet recording method wherein the bubbles are generated in ink by heat energy and burst when exposed to the air so that ink can be emitted. CONSTITUTION:A bubble 6 generated in the neighborhood of a heater 2 as shown in (b) supplied with a pulse for heat generation expands as shown in (c) and bursts when exposed to the outside air. Thereafter, as shown in (d), an ink particle 7 is discharged from a discharge outlet 5 in such a manner that it is torn from ink in an ink passage 12. Here, the position of the heater 2 on a substrate 1 is arranged forward of a position corresponding to the heater 2 on a roof plate 4 with respect to the discharge outlet 5, so that the quantity of ink contacting at the neighborhood of the discharge outlet 5 of the roof plate 4 decreases when the bubble 6 is exposed to the outside air and burst. Thus, the quantity of ink to be attached to the neighborhood of the discharge outlet 5 of the roof plate 4 after the ink particle 7 is discharged will decrease. |
