PURPOSE:To relax collision of a piston side against an end part in a cylinder at the time of maximum extension of a piston rod in a gas spring. CONSTITUTION:A piston 4, which has a damping force generating mechanism by connecting a piston rod 6, is slidably fitted to an inner cylinder 2 (cylinder) sealed with fluid. The first spring 17 (small spring constant) is wound on the piston rod 6, and the second spring 19 (large spring constant) is wound in series to the first spring 17 through a slider 18. A stopper part 21 for restricting a moving amount 4 of the slider 18 to a side of the piston is provided on the piston rod 6. When the second spring 19 is brought into contact with a stopper 8 of an end part in the inner cylinder 2 by extending the piston rod 6, first the first spring 17 is contracted to generate repulsive force, and after the slider 18 is brought into contact with the stopper part 21, next by contracting the second spring 19 to generate large repulsive force, collision in a side of the piston 4 against the stopper 8 is relaxed at the time of maximum extension of the piston rod 6. |
