PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound important as a raw material for medicines such as carbapenem-based antibiotics by culture of specific kind of microorganisms belonging to Helicoserus or Acrocylindrium. CONSTITUTION:Cis-4-hydroxy-L-proline-productive bacteria belonging to Helicoserus or Acrocylindrium [e.g. helicoserus oryzae SANK-11458 strain (FERM BP-3603), Acrocylindrium oryzae SANK-10360 strain (FERM BP-3602)] are cultured and the objective compound can be obtained from the cultured product. The culture is pref. made at 26 deg.C normally for 48-72hr. For the culture on a small scale, shaking culture is preferable; whereas, for mass culture, aerating agitation culture is desirable. |
