The push button has a main housing (3) in which switching elements are housed. The button housing is formed through an aperture within a wall (1) and retained by a moulded inset (12) of an elastic material. Another ring of elastic material (11) is set into the flange section on the other side of the wall, and a cover disc (7) with an actuator surface (8) form the button front. At the rear of the unit is a ring shaped retaining ring (13) and cover (5). The ring clips into position to retain the assembly by maintaining an axial load.
