PURPOSE:To prevent irregularities in transfer charging caused by the staining of a transfer device part with toner and the sticking of toner. CONSTITUTION:In an image forming device composed of the upper component body 7 capable of being opened/closed upward/downward and the lower component body 8, a shielding plate 1 is provided between the photosensitive drum 5 and the transfer device 4 in such a manner that it can appear above the transfer device. The shielding plate 1 is moved based on a jam detecting signal and a jam release detecting signal. |
