<p>An improved anchor plug (10) allowing quick release of a leash (L). The anchor plug (10) is preferably made of plastic and may be mounted on a surfboard (S), or any other object flush to the top surface of the surfboard (S). The anchor plug (10) has a leash cavity (22) and a retractable leash pin (40) spanning the leash cavity (22). Preferably, the leash pin (40) extends into a locking hole (26) when it is in the extended position. A loop can be formed in a leash (L), the leash pin (40) can be retracted to allow the loop to be inserted in the leash cavity (22), and the pin (40) can be extended to retain the loop in the leash cavity (22). Preferably, the leash pin (40) is made of stainless steel and can be locked in the extended position.</p> |
