An apparatus and method for issuing and receiving automobiles for a lift type or lift sliding type parking facility adapted to solve problems involved with a conventional mechanical type parking lot (parking building) such as extended parking time, extended waiting time for receiving, low parking efficiency resulting from the extended waiting time, increase of power consumption resulting from unnecessary operation of a lift, and various requirements relating to parking site conditions. The apparatus and method of the present invention outgrow a conventional system in which pallets are designated to and provide for each floor, as well as each parking position. In the present invention, a number of pallets are stacked and stored on one of automobile issuing and receiving sides, and a pallet is pulled out or collected on the issuing side or receiving side everytime an automobile is issued or received so as to eliminate unnecessary lifting operation of a lift to thereby shorten the parking time, as well as the waiting time for receiving. Moreover, a slider for transferring a pallet at the automobile issuing or receiving position is formed as a pallet transfer means driven by means of chains or gears so as to minimize the stopping time of the lift to thereby overcome restrictions involved with the utilization of the parking site. Thus, the apparatus and method of the present invention are applicable to a mechanically operated parking lot (parking building) of a lift type or lift sliding type. |
