<p>PURPOSE:To increase rigidity of a caliper body and further to arrange a piston in the caliper body always in a vertical direction relating to a rotor surface. CONSTITUTION:A caliper body 1 is connected to end plates 2 by bolts 3, and cylinders 5 are formed of cylinder holes 1c and the end plates 2. Pistons 8 connected with pads 7 are provided in the cylinder holes 1c to arrange the piston 8, so that it is always vertical relating to a rotor surface 4a, and also to enable the piston to advance/retract in a vertical direction. At braking time of a brake, the pads 7 are integrally friction-engaged with a disk rotor 4.</p> |
