PURPOSE:To obtain the subject food having an embossed uneven shape of thinly cut coating ingredient, new taste and decoration of surface by sprinkling a coating ingredient made into small pieces on the surface of a core ingredient of different material, sticking the coating ingredient to the core ingredient with a binder and heat-treating. CONSTITUTION:A food consisting of two layers of a core ingredient as the interior and a coating ingredient on the surface is prepared and the core ingredient is made of a material different from that of the coating ingredient. A binder is bonded to the core ingredient having shape retention and the coating ingredient thinly cut into small pieces is sprinkled on and stuck to the surface of the core ingredient through the binder. The whole ingredients are heat-treated and the fine uneven shape of the coating ingredient made into small pieces is embossed on the coating ingredient to give an ingredient-coated food having the uneven surface. Meat, vegetables, bread, grain, etc., are preferable as the coating ingredient, egg and/or saccharide is preferable as the binder. Bread, rice ball, croquette, etc., are used as the core ingredient. |
