<p>PURPOSE:To limit a flow of a cell accurately by measuring a flow of a packet within a preceding prescribed time sent through a line on which plural logic channels are multiplexed depending on a channel in real time. CONSTITUTION:Number of cells inputted from a line 14 is stored accumulatingly in a flow memory for each flow memory 13. Moreover, the presence of the input of a cell at a current point of time is written and stored in an address designated by a write pointer 3 incremented cyclicly for each prescribed time in a logic channel history memory 12. Then a preceding cell input state traced back to a read pointer 2 by a prescribed time is checked by the history memory 12, and number of accumulated cells of the flow memory 13 inputted at that point of time is subtracted by one with respect to the logic channel number to count the total number of inputted cells from a preceding prescribed time till the current point of time in real time for each logic channel. The input of packets is restricted depending on the total number.</p> |
