The present invention relates to an extrusion head for the manufacture of a flat cable. This extrusion head (10) principally comprises a body (11) provided with a main inlet (12) for the thermoplastic material necessary for forming the insulating jacket around a ribbon (sheet) of conductors and with a secondary inlet (13) for conveying, into the body, a thermoplastic material having a coloration or colour which contrasts with that of the material penetrating the main inlet. The purpose of this thermoplastic material penetrating the secondary inlet is to create a coloured stripe along one of the edges of the flat cable. This head is advantageous in that it makes it possible to colour a bulk-coloured stripe. <IMAGE>
