PURPOSE:To observe directly a transmission signal on a communication line of the serial transmission system by providing a signal detection means and a signal conversion means converting a signal detected by the signal detection means into a parallel signal and detecting a signal type and a signal fault, to the converter. CONSTITUTION:The converter is provided with a signal detection section 20 detecting a transmission signal on a serial communication line 1 interconnecting system computers and a signal conversion section 40 converting the signal detected by the signal detection section 20 into a parallel signal and detecting a signal type and a signal fault. Through the constitution above, the signal detection section 20 detects a transmission signal of the serial communication line 1 in conformity with the MIL-STD and sends it to the outside and the signal conversion section 40 demodulates the transmission signal and converts the signal into a parallel signal and detects the presence of a fault of the transmission signal. Thus, it is possible to observe the content of the transmission signal directly and surely from the serial communication line 1 in compliance with the MIL-STD. |
