A magazine feed belt, for the supply of small electrical components to an assembly process, is produced from a main section (3) of a flexible plastics foil. The edges of the belt are reinforced by fibres (2a, 2b) and one side has perforations that are engaged by a drive sprocket. In one version the components (4) are retained beneath a relatively hard cover foil, while a second variation has the component secured at the edges. The belt may be supplied in the form of a coil on a spool. ADVANTAGE - Can be re-used to suit different components ensuring automatic correct positioning.
