Arrangement for stabilising a single axle trailer attached to a vehicle the drawbar (14) of which is connected to the vehicle by a ball head coupling (12). A horizontal friction brake unit (18) with a slot (20) having oppositely facing brake blocks (21, 22) is secured to the drawbar by a carrier (16), and a braking ring segment (28) attached by an adaptor (26) to the ball head rod (10) projects into the slot. ADVANTAGE - Friction brake for a trailer which damps nodding movements and improves ride comfort.
