A device is for recycling either in households or in industry and collects used water from a bath tube, shower or washing machine into a container. It features a distribution vessel (7) which is connected to the storage container (1) via a tube (5) and an intermediate pump (6). The outflow (8) of the bath tub (3), the outflow of the shower and the outflow (9) of the washing machine (4) are connected to the distribution vessel (7). A level controller (12) provided on the distribution vessel (7) is connected to the pump (6) via an electrical connection (13). The line (15) leading from the storage container (1) to a lavatory bowl (2) incorporates a manually operated valve (16), which is also connected to the fresh water line (18). ADVANTAGE - The device enables an economical recycling of water for flushing the lavatory.
