The shut-off fitment has a gearwheel (14) connected to the closing body to transfer the torque. This gearwheel is coupled with the gear rod (31) which can be moved between fixed stops (49, 50) of the housing attachment. The gear rod encloses with relative displacement round a threaded section (32) of a vertically aligned threaded spindle (33) which has at the top end a coupling section (36) for detachably attaching an actuator. ADVANTAGE - All the adjustable parts are encapsulated in the housing giving many years service underground even after long periods of non-use.
