Fitting card wire to opening rollers for rotor spinning - using longitudinal compression of roller body to grip wire and eliminate gaps between body and wire
摘要
An opening roller for rotor spinning machines has card wire spirally wound into grooves machined into a body. The grooves and the remaining land are so dimensioned that when a compressive force is applied, the body is plastically deformed which reduces the gaps to zero so that no fibres can catch in them. Pref. the compression of surfaces A and B can take place on a mandrel to maintain concentricity. The body can have internal recesses so that the deformations do not protrude into the effective inner dia. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simpler method of fitting card wire to opening rollers in a way which ensures that no gaps are left at the retaining groove.
