PURPOSE: To obtain a new stable microemulsion obtained by formulating a specific surfactant and water in a prescribed proportion to a liquid pyrethroid, and used for protection of crops and forest. CONSTITUTION: This stable pyrethroid microemulsion comprises 0.1-95wt.% especially 0.1-70wt.% liquid pyrethroid (preferably, the one being liquid at normal temperature or being supercooled) and 2-90, especially 2-50wt.% surfactant system containing at least one kind of anionic surfactant (e.g. alkylbenzensulfonate), at least one kind of a nonionic surfactant (e.g. an alkoxylated di(1-phenylethyl)phenol) and at least one kind of auxiliary surfactant (e.g. aliphatic alcohol and alicyclic alcohol), [in which the weight ratio of the anionic to the nonionic surfactant is (10/90) to (90/10), especially (15/85) to (85/15) and the weight ratio of the auxiliary surfactant to the total of the anionic and nonionic surfactants is 0.1-1.5, especially 0.25-0.80].
