<p>PURPOSE:To process a picture with a simple hardware by coding division information resulting from the picture divided into small areas of an optional shape efficiently. CONSTITUTION:Information A resulting from dividing a picture into small areas of an optional shape is given to a number picture generating circuit 2, the circuit 2 generates a number picture B in which two adjacent small areas have no same number and smaller natural numbers are assigned to them, and the number picture B is given to a number picture coding circuit 3, in which the picture is coded and coding information C is outputted.</p> |
