PURPOSE:To obtain a plasma display panel(PDP) control device aiming at the display holding characteristics of a plasma display panel capable of holding the display of a preceding image once displayed until the succeeding image data are transmitted and preventing the generation of flickering on a display surface. CONSTITUTION:A display controller 16 is characteristically provided with a control means for stopping the output of a clock signal from the controller 16 to driver circuits 19, 20 for driving the plasma display panel(PDP) 18 to hold the display of the PDP 18 at the time of inputting a display data rewriting command signal to a display memory 17, and after completing the display of one picture, outputting a display data rewriting a knowledge signal, allowing the display data rewriting of the memory 17 and then resetting the stop of the clock signal to the circuits 19, 20 after completing the rewriting operation. |
