<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a data processing system capable of recognizing characters by a hand- written character input type portable data terminal without a trouble as a business. CONSTITUTION:This data processing system has a display means 22, a hand-written character input means (TB) 103 for inputting character information or an instruction, the 1st recognizing means 105 for recognizing a hand-written character(HC) outputted from the TB 103 based upon a character recognizing dictionary(DIC) and obtaining input character information, a control means 108 for sending the HC pattern to a host (HOST) side when the means 105 can not recognize the HC concerned and using character information obtained at the HOST side as input character information, a terminal (DT) provided with the 1st radio transmission means 102 for transmitting/receiving information to/from the HOST side, the 2nd radio transmission means for transmitting/receiving information to/from the DT, a HOST side recognizing means having a large capacity DIC larger than the DT, receiving the HC pattern from the DT side, recognizing the pattern as a character based upon a DIC built in itself and obtaining an input character information, and a HOST side control means for controlling respective parts so as to apply the HC pattern obtained from the DT side through the 2nd radio transmission means to the HOST side recognizing means and send the character information obtained by HOST side character recognition to the DT.</p> |
