发明名称 Floating wave machine for generating electrical power - has jointed floats resting on water surface coupled to fly-wheel via interconnecting rods and gearing
摘要 The wave machine consists of an immersed body (1) with several floats (7) round a main axle (22) so as to move racks (13,14) up and down, and so moving a transmission wheel (19) and shaft ratchet in the same direction. Flywheels or rotors (23) are used to ensure co-ordinated rotation, using the stored energy to generate current, passed onshore via underwater cables. Arms (2) are arranged in an ascending star on the main body which reach up to the water surface to terminate in bearings (3) for respective holding arms (4). The arms work as two-arm levers and are deflected by the floats in time with the waves, using a vertically descending lifting rod (10) on each arm load arm (6) clear of the main body. The rods transfer this movement via racks (13,14) to pinion wheels (16,17) mutually locked by free-wheels and the deflector shafts (15). All shafts (15) engage bevel gearing (19) in the body and pass low speed rotations through a free-wheel clutch (20) to multi-stage gearing (21). The gearing gives high output speed to drive the working shaft whose variable mass flywheel is adapted in speed to the energy supply and passes this through a converter to the generators (35). USE/ADVANTAGE - Renewable energy sources, wave power. Float-operated rack linkage responds to wave and tide movement for max. energy recovery and power generation.
