Method uses a prod. carrier for holding, introducing and removing the prods. as well as for providing them with an up- and down motion in the bath. A linear up-and-down motion of the prods. (30) in the galvanic bath (2) is superimposed by an appropriate motion of the prod. carrier (28) by horizontal circular motion. Pref. a vertical circular motion of the prods. (30) in the bath (2) is superimposed by a linear back-and-forth motion. The ends of the prod. carrier rest on supports (29) connected to vertical support rods (15) mounted on a common driven crankshaft beneath the bath. Each support rod (15) has a holding plate (17) for mounting a driven crankshaft (20) connected to a carrier plate (27) and the prod. carrier support (29). USE/ADVANTAGE - Used in galvanising plants. It eliminates drawbacks experienced with methods based on the use of air jets (inapplicable in foaming media, variable quality of galvanic layers, high plant cost) or ultrasound (short life span of ultrasonic excitation equipment, inefficient action).
