PURPOSE:To obtain copies corresponding to respective pages in page successive copy mode without spoiling original setting operability. CONSTITUTION:A mode key for selecting the page successive copying mode and plural size detection sensors 31 which detects the size of the original set on a contact glass are provided; and the size of the original which is set on the contact glass and has its pages to be copied successively is detected and a scanner control circuit 37 calculates the original center position in a scanner scanning direction. This original center position is regarded as a division position to perform the allocation of the page successive copying and respective divided areas are copied in order by controlling scanner scanning. Consequently, copies of respective corresponding pages are taken without miscopying such as a copy of part of another page image and absence of part of contents of the page in two-time successive copying operation even when the original is set at an original end reference position.
