PURPOSE:To improve the success ratio related to case application by selecting only one case from one class, and determining the application order every class to apply the case. CONSTITUTION:A case suitable to a failure diagnostic result is detected from cases stored in a case base memory part (S221). The cases stored in the case base memory part are hierarchically classified according to failure symptoms and failures and also divided to classes. The parameter state showing the present device state is compared with each parameter stored in the state before recovery (S222). The case having low coincident degree of parameter state in the same class is eliminated (S223). The presence of the cases having the same coincident degree of parameter state is judged (S224). With respect to which case should be first applied when they have the same coincident degree, the priority of the class to which the case belongs is referred to (S225), and the ranking of the cases is finally performed (S226). |
