PURPOSE:To downsize a generator motor, to increase mounting freedom and to simplify repair and inspection. CONSTITUTION:A brushless generator motor 11 is coupled through a speed increase/decrease transmitting means 12 to an engine 2. When the engine 2 is started, power of a battery 4 is inverted into AC powder which is fed to the generator motor 11 and the rotational speed of the generator motor 11 is decelerated through the speed increase/decrease transmitting means 12. When power is generated, speed of the engine 2 is increased through the speed increase/decrease transmitting means 12 and the generator motor 11 is operated as a generator to feed an AC driving motor 13 with AC power thus traveling the vehicle. At the same time, AC power is converted into DC power for charging the battery 4. |
