PURPOSE:To obtain the optical disk which is strong to a change with lapse of time by forming the thin film of a reflection film consisting of a stainless steel so as to coat the rugged patterns of a transparent substrate formed with the rugged patterns based on the information signals recorded thereon. CONSTITUTION:The disk substrate 2 is molded of a synthetic resin material having light transparency, for example, polycarbonate, PMMA, etc., by transferring the rugged patterns of a stamper to one surface thereof by an injection molding device to form signal patterns 3. The reflection film 4 is formed in the form of the thin film having a film thickness of <=1000Angstrom by sputtering vapor deposition, etc., of the stainless steel material (Fe, Ni, Co alloy) on the surface of the disk substrate 2 on the side formed with the rugged patterns. The optical disk which is reduced in cost and is less changed with lapse of time is provided in this way. |
