<p>The projector has at least one dichroitic prism with two dichroitic colour separating layers. The prism three sides carry LCDs with three different colour image extracts. The separate extracts can be projected onto a screen by a common objective. Two dichroitic colour dividing cubes (21,22) are fitted the reflective LCDs (23-28), each with an output for different polarisation directions of a polarising beam splitter (10). On one hand the beam splitter divides the white light beam (6) onto both colour dividing tubes, while on the other hand the light returning from the tubes and from the activated image points can be supplied to the objective (8). Pref. a MacNeille prism is used as the beam splitter.</p> |
