The drive element for the cut-off component emerges from the housing through an aperture and outside the housing is coupled to an operating unit for operating of the drive element for the purpose of moving the cut-off component forwards and backwards. Inside the housing is a first sealing component for sealing the fluid aperture against the cut-off component and/or the drive element. An indicator is provided which shows any lack of seal in the first sealing component, and is formed as a further sealing component with adjustable sealing ability, fitted in the housing through passage and sealing the drive element in relation to the housing. USE/ADVANTAGE - To influence the throughflow amt. in a pipe carrying fluid, with a reliable indicator showing any lack of seal.
