PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic material degaussing method by which a sample can be effectively degaussed while the sample is set on a sample vibrating type magnetization measuring instrument or magnetic field impressing type magnetic characteristic measuring instrument, such as a magnetic torque meter, etc., by running a magnetic material in the conventional degaussing method or eliminating the need of a large bulk eraser, etc., from the conventional degaussing method. CONSTITUTION:An alternate damping magnetic field is impressed in the direction of the axis of difficult magnetization of a magnetic material having an axis of easy magnetization. Therefore, it is not necessary to use a separate bulk eraser, etc., at the time of measuring the magnetic characteristic of the magnetic material and degaussing and measurement can be performed by one magnetic characteristic measuring instrument. As a result, the man-hour can be reduced and the measuring accuracy can be improved. |
