PURPOSE:To easily execute operation from retrieval selection up to data display by specifying an index item on a screen by a pointing device, and when an interval more than a fixed time exists from the completion of the specification up to the succeeding specification, displaying data belonging to the index. CONSTITUTION:An index 201 has a table and others, the table is specially displayed as an initial display, data belonging to the table are displayed on a data display area 202 and the specific display is moved by the pointing device. When the index 201 is specified by the pointing device and an interval more than the fixed time exists from the specific display of the index up to the succeeding specification, the data of the specified index are displayed, but when the succeeding specification is outputted before the lapse of the fixed time or more, the specific display of the index specially displayed at present is reset and only the succeeding index is specially displayed without displaying the data of the specially displayed index. |
