PURPOSE:To enhance the confidentiality of data by ciphering the data so as to record it when data of a user is written in an auxiliary storage device. CONSTITUTION:When the user ciphers some data so as to write it in the auxiliary storage device 6, data to be written and a ciphering key are transferred to a data ciphering means 3 and code-converted by a converting method corresponding to the ciphering key so that a data input/output means 1 writes them in the auxiliary storage device 6 and, then, data of the user is ciphered. When access for previously ciphered user data is requested, the ciphering key is inputted and transferred to a data decoding means 11 so that decoding is executed by the converting method corresponding to the ciphering key and, then, the data input/output means 1 returns data to the user. |
