The extracts, for use in treatment of prostate complaints, is obtained by extracting the fruit with 96 vol.% ethanol, preceded or followed by removal of hydrophilic components by use of water or aq.-alcoholic solns. The ethanol is subsequently removed under reduced pressure and the extract decolorised as usual. Use of dangerous or toxic solvents for extraction is avoided
