A electric power steering control device equipped with a motor having a resolver detection unit comprises: an ambient temperature detecting means (33) for detecting ambient temperature around a portion generating heat by current flow; a motor temperature detecting means (32) for, based on a signal from the resolver detection unit (13) of the motor (4), estimating the temperature of the portion generating heat; and an abnormality determining means (34) for comparing the temperature detected by the ambient temperature detecting means with the temperature detected by the motor temperature detecting means and determining that the ambient temperature detecting means is abnormal.
