Composting kitchen waste - using equipment and procedures to provide max. efficiency in breaking down even e.g. wet and slimy material

In the field of composting, producing the material oneself is the only guarantee that the humus obtd. is free from toxic substances. All vents in the compost container are covered by filters. Pref. (a) the base of the container can be perforated by hand; a perforated pipe can be used. (b) a modified kitchen bucket can be useful. (c) The residual heat of a kitchen hot plate can be utilised to dry kitchen waste. ADVANTAGE - Composting accelerators can be used. Containers can be covered with polystyrene foam. Efficient aeration is important e.g. with wet and slimy domestic waste.
