<p>Compositions are provided wherein a complex of an anthracycline antibiotic with a polyunsaturated fatty acid (with or without α-fetoprotein) is dissolved in a lipid emulsion. Dissolved uncomplexed α-fetoprotein can also be present. The compositions are useful in a method for the intravascular treatment of neoplastic tissue, especially α-fetoprotein producing hepatoma cells in humans, at high doses of the complex for relatively short periods of time.</p> |
