1. A method of producing an agent increasing the degree of chromium compounds extraction from tanning bath characterised in that carboxymethylcellulose with the degree of substitution of 50-100% and the mixture of dicarboxylic acids with the following composition: 10-30% by weight of adipic acid, 15-25% by weight of succinic acid, 25-60% by weight of glutaric acid, 0.1-35% by weight of phthalic acid and 0.5-5% by weight of malonic acid, are neutralized or alkalized to pH 7-8.5 in an aqueous medium.
