<p>A flange disc (1) for protecting a flange having an inner annular machined surface (5) surrounded by an outer surface with bolt holes (4) extending through the outer surface and opening to a back surface opposing the outer surface, includes: a disc (1) of flexible material having a size corresponding to a size of the outer surface of the flange to selectively cover the inner surface, outer surface and bolt holes (4), the disc defining a disc plane (1); and a plurality of connectors (6) symmetrically located about a periphery of the disc at locations corresponding to at least some of the bolt holes (4), the connectors (6) being integral with the disc (1) and having, at one end, a resilient hinge portion (8) and, at an opposite end, an engagement portion (9) for engaging the corresponding bolt hole (4), the connectors rotating about the hinge portion between a transport position in which the engagement portion (9) is in the disc plane (1) and an engagement position in which the engagement portion (9) is angled with respect to the disc plane (1) for engaging the bolt hole (4). <IMAGE></p> |
