The magnetic thin film for a high density magnetic head is characterized by forming a chromium (Cr) outer film (3) of 200-4000 angstroms, a silicon oxide (SiO2) outer film (4) of 200-4000 angstroms and a chromium (Cr) outer film (5) of 1000-10000 angstroms in order between the sand dust magnetic thin film (1) and the deposited glass (2). The film (3) increases the magnetic permeability, the film (4) prevents the corrosion of the magnetic film (1) and inhibits the decline of the permeability, and the film (5) prevents the bubble-generation of the glass (2).
