PURPOSE:To enable forming a Chinese sentence only by the input of phonetic symbols without inputting tone symbols. CONSTITUTION:A phonetic symbol input part 5 inputs the phonetic codes of Chinese words constituting a Chinese sentence to be formed. A control part 1 detects Chinese word character codes corresponding to the phonetic symbols inputted from the input part 5 from a Chinese knowledge data base file 2, and at the time of plural Chinese word character codes corresponding to the phonetic symbol of one Chinese word, one Chinese word character code is specified and detected by validity retrieval using a Chinese term file 4 and validity retrieval based upon user's selection. A Chinese sentence output part 8 refers to a character pattern file 3 and outputs the Chinese sentence based upon the Chinese word character codes detected by the control part 1. |
