<p>PURPOSE:To provide a dispersant aid which is a compound represented by a specific formula and capable of sufficiently heightening the dispersibility of carbon black in producing a monomer composition for suspension polymerization which comprises a polymerizable monomer and carbon black. CONSTITUTION:The title dispersant aid heightens the dispersibility of carbon black in the production of a monomer composition for suspension polymerization which comprises a polymerizable monomer (e.g. an aromatic vinyl, acrylic, vinyl ester, vinyl, ether, or olefinic monomer) and carbon black (preferably one having a pH of 7-9). It is a compound represented by the formula (wherein R is an alkyl, an alkoxy, a (substituted) aromatic group, or a (substituted) heterocyclic group and n is 1-6). By use of this dispersant aid, carbon black can be dispersed sufficiently and a toner having high blackening power can be produced by suspension polymerization without fail.</p> |
