PURPOSE:To provide a thermal transfer recording medium which is free from a broken character and develops an anti-smear image even on an image- receiving sheet with low surface smoothness. CONSTITUTION:The subject thermal transfer recording medium consists of a transfer layer containing particles, each comprising a thermal fusible material and a staining agent as main components, or a transfer layer composed of the first transfer layer based on said particles and the second transfer layer containing the thermally fusible material and the staining agent. In addition, the surface of the transfer layer has a maximum surface resistance force within the range of 30 to 70 deg.C. |
