<p>PURPOSE:To provide a resistance trimming device which can surely discriminate defective insulators from nondefective insulators and can prevent insulators which must be classified as the defective insulators from mixing into nondefective insulators. CONSTITUTION:A cut stripe is formed on the surface of an insulator 1, on which a resistance film is formed, with a cutter 4 while the potential value across both ends of the insulator 1 is measured with a cutter amplifier 3 and, when the potential value measured with the amplifier 3 reaches a desired value, the amplifier 3 separates the cutter 4 from the surface of the insulator 1. When the cutter line length fall in a prescribed range, the insulator 1 is connected to an measuring instrument 5 side by switching a switching relay 8 and the resistance value between both ends of the cut insulator 1 is measured with the instrument 5. When the measured resistance value of the insulator 1 falls in a prescribed range, the insulator 1 is discriminated as nondefective.</p> |
