A blower is proposed which is operated by an electric motor and serves to ventilate a temperature sensor which belongs to an air-conditioning system of a motor vehicle. The blower is surrounded by a housing which has an intake opening and at least one blowing opening. Situated in the flow of air is a sensor which monitors the temperature thereof and is operatively connected to a control electronics unit belonging to the air-conditioning system for the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. Furthermore, a sound-isolating means is arranged between the blower and the housing. A particularly simple, effective sound-isolating means is obtained when said means is formed by a disc-shaped component which is arranged transversely to the rotational axis of the blower and the outer region of which is held on the housing, the blower being connected to the central region of the housing and the outer region of the component being connected to the central region of the housing by a plurality of flexible webs arranged at a distance from one another. <IMAGE> |
