An integral blow molded bottle (10) has a neck (12), a thread (14) surrounding the neck and a collar (16) at the top of the neck. A circumferential flange (32) is provided on the outside of the top of the collar (16), and a support column (36) is provided on the inside of the collar for limiting threading of a cap (24) down on the neck. A circumferential groove (38) formed in the outside of the collar (16) beneath the flange (32) prevents bottoming of the flange by the cap (24) threaded onto the neck (12).
