PURPOSE:To prevent defocusing by adjusting focus based on the result of detection of a floating of an original read face. CONSTITUTION:An original 1 is placed on a transparent glass 3. A read section 5 is moved in the direction S. A fluorescent light 7 is lighted and a sensor 6 detects a distance between an optical lens 8 and an original read face 4. The temperature of the fluorescent light 7 is arisen and the light 7 is fully lighted by lighting signals a, b to a drive section 11. When the original read face 4 is floated (4b), an output of the distance detection sensor 6 is sent to the lens drive section 9. The lens drive section 9 implements focus adjustment of the optical lens 8. Thus, a sharp read picture is obtained. |
