<p>A bedding system comprises a sheet for covering a mattress, the sheet having a rectangular upper panel and two side panels each of the side panels extending from the longer edges of the upper panel and at least two blankets. Each blanket has a first surface, an opposing second surface and two opposing side edges. First separable fasteners 36 are provided on at least a part of an outer surface of both of the side panels and/or a part of the upper panel proximate the longer edges. Second separable fastenings (not shown) are provided on a part of the first surface of each blanket proximate its side edges, the second separable fastenings being engageable with the first separable fasteners so as to secure the blanket to the sheet. Third separable fasteners 48 are provided on a part of the second surface of each blanket proximate the side edges, the third fastening means being engageable with the second fastening means so as to secure one blanket to another. The sheet may have a second, lower surface that forms a tube within which a mattress 16 is placed. The bedding system is especially suited for use with babies, infants or young children.</p> |
